Health for Scuba Diving
The following conditions and medications are contraindicative for scuba diving
*pregnancy
*antidepressant use such as Prozac or similar
*current drug and alcohol addiction
*serious heart conditions
*history of lung overexpansion injury, lung cancer or lung illnesses
*mental illness such as bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, ongoing panic attacks
*inability to equalize ears (from barotrauma or illness)
*current asthma

physically challenged individuals are encouraged to explore diving, yoga and meditation under the approval of their doctor or physiotherapist
What you need to bring to the Sinai to be comfortable in the desert or the sea
*sun protection--hat, sun cream etc. We recommend UV sunglasses and for fair skinned divers “P20” sun protection available in most pharmacies, the internet and at Gatwick airport
*loose cotton clothes for summer. Warm jumpers and windbreakers for winter. A comfy bathrobe for divers.
*swimwear
*insect repellant
*tasty rehydration salts
*extra warm sleeping bag, socks and wooly clothes for desert safaris
